Foreword

Food provision is carried out to meet food consumption as a basic human need. Therefore, data on food consumption is one of the key information needed in formulating food policies, both from the supply and demand sides including food distribution policies.

In order to disseminate data and information on food consumption of the people of Bandung City, the Bandung City Food Security and Agriculture Service published the book "Directory of Food Consumption Developments in 2023/2024". The data/information presented is sourced from data from the Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) conducted by BPS. The contents of this book are data/information on the development of average food consumption of the people of Bandung City in 2019 - 2023.

Consumption data obtained from Susenas is then calculated and converted into energy units based on the nutrients of each type of food. The types of food collected are then combined into nine food groups. Furthermore, the data is used in calculating the PPH score and justification is carried out against Susenas data to maintain methodological consistency.

The data in this book is presented in the form of comprehensive and easy-to-read infographics. This book also includes an executive summary to make it easier for readers to utilize the data/information presented. This publication is expected to meet the data needs of stakeholders in the food sector in particular, and the public in general.

Detailed data (module) on all household consumption/expenditure and income, both food and non-food consumption, results of Susenas.

NATIONAL FOOD AND NUTRITION TRAINING COUNCIL (WNPG)

A cross-stakeholder forum that can play a strategic role in efforts to bring together and synchronize various food and nutrition programs and policies to accelerate the reduction of stunting rates in Indonesia.

VARIOUS, BALANCED NUTRITION, AND SAFE (B2SA)

The ideal consumption pattern of the community so that their food needs are met. Diverse and nutritious food means that there is more than one type of food on a single plate so that it can meet the nutritional components completely. Balanced means that food contains components that are sufficient in quantity, sufficient in quality, and contain various substances.
nutrients (carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and minerals) that the body needs. Finally, a food product must be safe, that is, free from physical, chemical, and microbiological contamination.

BALANCED NUTRITION

A daily food composition that contains nutrients in types and quantities that suit the body's needs, by paying attention to the principles of food diversity, physical activity, clean living behavior and monitoring body weight regularly in order to maintain normal body weight to prevent nutritional problems.
