Bandung City (ANTARA) – The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is collaborating with two regions, namely the Indramayu and Cianjur Regency Governments, to develop a number of potentials in an effort to meet food security in the Flower City.

"Cianjur and Indramayu are rice and paddy producers because they are food barns. (This cooperation) is in the framework of supporting (fulfilling) rice. We are establishing more intensive cooperation. This is to provide data to support food security," said Bandung City Regional Secretary, Ema Sumarna in Bandung, Monday.

Ema said that each region has its own potential and regional advantages so that through the concept of collaboration, these potentials and advantages can become a medium for exchanging information, knowledge and experience.

Regarding inflation control, he said, currently 90 percent of the basic needs of the people of Bandung city still depend on other areas.

Therefore, it is important to establish cooperation with other regions, especially with regions producing staple foods such as Cianjur Regency and Indramayu Regency.

"So far we have been taking chilies. We take them from Bandung Regency and West Bandung Regency. We can also cooperate with Cianjur," he said.

He hopes that with the cooperation established, each region can utilize the potential of each region. That way, the cooperation established can be utilized as much as possible.

According to him, the city of Bandung has the advantage of having more than 300 applications to provide excellent public services to the community and of course can be collaborated with various regions.

"We certainly have to understand very well what potential all regions have that can be utilized by each region. Progress together, succeed together," said Ema.
